Dermott joined Banki Haddock Fiora in 2024, after obtaining his LLB and BJourn from the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a paralegal in the Disputes and Litigation team at the ABC. Prior to that, Dermott worked in a variety of roles at an ASX-listed infrastructure services provider, including two paid internships in their in-house legal team.

He has a strong interest in media, sports, copyright and trade mark law and has previously written over a hundred published sports articles during his time in the Editorial team at Fox Sports Australia.
