Peter is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected intellectual property practitioners. For many years, he has advised on, negotiated and documented commercial transactions and acted for parties in disputes involving intellectual property. He is consistently ranked as a leading lawyer in his field by Chambers Global, Managing Intellectual Property Handbook, Legal 500 Asia Pacific, Doyles and Best Lawyers of Australia in The Australian Financial Review.

In 2019, Peter trained as a mediator at the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution in London. He now focuses on mediating disputes and is nationally accredited by the Law Society of NSW under National Mediator Accreditation Standards.

Peter has broad experience in the publishing, digital, media and entertainment industries. He has represented litigants in a number of landmark cases in the Federal Court and High Court of Australia and the Australian Copyright Tribunal and has been a member and chair of Australian and international committees on the practice and reform of the copyright law.
